Critical Importance: Parent Leadership

Posted on Fri, Aug 5, 2016

Please See: We are in urgent need of the following positions

We will absolutely not be able to have a scouting program at any rank without volunteers to be leaders. This is particularly a concern at the Bear rank, but we also need a den leader at Tiger rank. Please contact Patrick directly with your intent to volunteer. On a personal note, my service in scouting has been the single most gratifying activity I have undertaken with my son. Do not miss this opportunity.

Every scout deserves a dedicated, trained, uniformed leader. While responsibility for conducting meetings can certainly be shared, dens need 1 adult who is accountable that the den moves forward, settles/gets consensus on dates and events with parents, and sees to it that Scout Track is updated. Please see the following:

Tiger Parents (1st Grade): we need a den leader.

Wolf Parents (2nd Grade): Mr. Fusco has volunteered. Please support him.

Bear Parents: We need a den leader. Mr. Downum will assist, but is the den leader of the Arrow of Light den

Webelos I parents: consider volunteering for treasurer & fundraising leader, committee chair/chartiner organization, awards, derbies, or assistant cubmaster

Webelos II (Arrow of Light) parents: we will depend on you to fill in gaps, but as this is your final year in the pack, for succession purposes we are ideally looking for newer pack parents to fill roles\

Thanks,

Patrick
